We are looking for someone with a unique and varied skill set who can be both the worship minister and the discipleship minister. Here is a basic job description:
Worship Ministry
The basic duties in the worship ministry are: planning, leading, and organizing a worship service. This would include practice time and other administrative duties. We are looking for mainly a contemporary service with some blended worship.
Discipleship Ministry
The basic duties of this discipleship ministry are: visitor contact and followup, connection to the church, and organization of small groups. We know this is fairly vague, but we want to give some flexibility on how this happens. We basically are working to implement the “simple church” approach of discipleship–moving people from the worship service, to connection with other people, to service both outside the church and within the church.
